In the food service department we serve patients in their rooms, staff and visitors at our cafeterias and cafes, and provide catering services. Food service team members are an important part of the patient experience, serving nourishing meals to help patients recover their health and strength.

Our Expectations

Patient service is the primary focus of our department. We expect our staff to provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families and to be extremely courteous in meeting the needs of the patient community. We strive to serve each patient as if they were our family.


The food service department offers a team-centered environment where you will have the support, training and mentoring you need to achieve your professional goals.  You’ll have the opportunity to further your career with us by cross-training into other roles within the department.

A variety of food service opportunities are available at each of our hospitals. Multiple shifts are available.

New food service employees receive hospital orientation followed by a two-to-three hour departmental orientation.
