Community Garden

The NHRMC Community Garden, located behind the NHRMC Heart Center, offers free vegetables and herbs to employees, patients, and the community.

The garden makes fresh, local produce available to anyone who wants them. The garden is supported by NHRMC, Wilmington Green Community Gardens, Cape Fear Garden Club, Feast Down East, and Cape Fear Realtors.

Anyone can visit the garden to pick healthy produce. The patients at the Heart Center are encouraged to access the garden to help add more plant-based foods to their diets.

The garden offers everything from fresh herbs, tomatoes, and eggplants to okra, potatoes, and carrots.

Watch to learn more about the garden:

I am one of the full-time UNC medical students on rotation here at NHRMC and was wondering how I could get involved in helping out in the garden!
I am interested in helping. Can you please tell me where you're located and what hours you would need help?

Thank you
