Our Commitment
NHRMC's values include diversity and inclusion because we know that every person is different and is shaped by their unique life experiences. Novant Health realizes that these differences are a strength and enable us to better understand our team members and our patients.
Team Member Benefits
Diversity is one of the great features of today’s workforce, and having a benefits program that is flexible in order to meet the different needs, concerns and challenges of our workforce is a priority for us. Through work-life benefits, affordable voluntary benefits and services we are striving to meet the changing needs and lifestyle of an increasingly diverse workforce. Our team members are critical to delivering on the mission to deliver remarkable care. We invest in their professional development in many ways, such as tuition reimbursement and corporate education class offerings, while also keeping an eye on work-life balance and overall well-being.
Business Resource Groups (BRGs)
A BRG is a voluntary group of team members organized around an aspect of common identity such as age, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation and veteran status. These groups work together to support each other, our business as well as diversity and inclusion strategies and constituency needs. They create a candid and open forum for the exchange of ideas, experiences and perspectives.
Our BRGs include:
- Advanced Practice Providers
- Asian
- Black + African American (ONYX)
- Coexist
- Engaging White Men
- Generation to Generation
- Latino + Hispanic (TU: Todos Unidos)
- Native American
- Persons with Abilities (PWA + LEAD)
- Pride (LGBTQ)
- Rebound
- Veterans
- Women
- Women Physicians
Health Equity - Department
NHRMC's Health Equity department provides quality cross-cultural competency training to staff to help foster a more diverse and inclusive environment.
Our Health Equity Department works to identify health disparities within the population to help eliminate them through concrete data collection and stratification; innovative healthcare (re)design; alignment of community partnerships; and with program and opportunity development.
