Health Equity at NHRMC
Every person deserves the chance to be healthy. But due to a range of social and economic factors, good health can sometimes be hard to achieve or maintain. At NHRMC, we recognize that these gaps exist – and we work to close them.
What is Health Equity?
Achieving health equity means working to give all people individualized care that helps them reach their best possible health outcomes. Reaching that goal requires focused and ongoing efforts to address inequalities in society that are caused by historical and contemporary injustices.
NHRMC has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation for our efforts to promote health equity and reduce healthcare disparities.
