New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s outpatient diabetes education program has been re-accredited by the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists.
The four-year re-accreditation is a recognition of the quality of NHRMC’s diabetes education program and affirms it complies with national standards.
Diabetes is a chronic condition that requires ongoing management and support from healthcare providers to help avoid dangerous complications. Diabetes education programs help empower those living with diabetes to learn tools to help them thrive.
“Our team is passionate about providing the very best education about diabetes, and we are pleased to see NHRMC’s program has been recognized for our work to help keep our patients well,” said Linda Wooley, RN, a certified diabetes care and education specialist.
Anyone with diabetes can ask their healthcare provider for a referral to NHRMC's education program at NHRMC Physician Specialists - Internal Medicine Specialists.
