Bruce Werder

After 14 years with NHRMC, RN Bruce Werder is retiring on Dec. 4 and plans to go coastal cruising with his wife Lea Anne. During his time with NHRMC, Bruce has become known as the go-to person for Epic questions. If he didn't know the answer, he'd be able to find the person who did. He started at NHRMC as a Clinical Coordinator in Cardiac Services before joining the Critical Care float pool. For the last eight years, he has worked with Case Management.

Bruce has been a nurse for 39 years and has worked in leadership roles for 15 years. In addition to North Carolina, Bruce has worked in Colorado, Florida, Virginia and New York.

Bruce and Lea Anne will be coastal cruising and chasing warm weather on New Bearings, their Nordic Tug 42 trawler (pictured here). Once the Canadian border reopens, they plan to cruise the waterways of America's Great Loop. Fair winds and following seas, Bruce. You will be missed.
