New Hanover Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that two experienced leaders, Ruth Glaser and Grant Rush, have been promoted to new leadership roles within the organization.
Glaser has been named Vice President of Post Acute Services. Rush has been named Vice President of Surgical and Cardiac Services. Both leaders report directly to Andre Boyd, NHRMC Chief Operating Officer.
“Ruth and Grant have dedicated themselves to the mission and vision of NHRMC, and I’m excited to imagine all that they can achieve in the years to come,” Boyd said.
Ruth Glaser has spent the past decade serving as president of Pender Memorial Hospital (PMH), an NHRMC affiliate. During her tenure, she has focused on growing services and the number of providers at the hospital while improving quality of care and patient satisfaction, in addition to supporting increased collaboration between PMH and the rest of the health system. She previously worked at Scotland Healthcare System in Laurinburg for 13 years and was Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, she worked at NHRMC as Director of Ambulatory Care. In her new position as Vice President of Post Acute Services, Glaser will continue to oversee Pender Memorial Hospital and NHRMC Home Health and will also have responsibility for NHRMC Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and AirLink/VitaLink Critical Care Transport.
Grant Rush has held a range of leadership roles with NHRMC in his nine years with the health system. Most recently, he has served as the administrator of surgical services, which includes three hospital-based locations and an ambulatory surgery center that together perform 45,000 surgical cases annually. Before that, his other roles include administrator of cardiovascular services; director of the orthopedic and spine specialty service lines; and management roles overseeing the organization’s surgical home program and business operations for cardiac, behavioral health, emergency services, lab and radiology services. In his new position as Vice President of Surgical and Cardiac Services, Rush will oversee all inpatient and outpatient surgical services and cardiac services.
