NHRMC recognizes seven holidays a year - New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. In addition, NHRMC has historically observed the Friday following Thanksgiving as an “unofficial holiday” to allow all eligible employees the opportunity to enjoy the four-day holiday weekend.
Benefit eligible employees (16-40 hours a week) who are scheduled to be off on the observed holiday due to their department closing fully or partially, will be paid at their current regular rate for the holiday and have scheduled work hours deducted from their PDO bank.
NHRMC provides Holiday Pay for employees who work on four (4) recognized Holidays - New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Non-exempt employees who work on these holidays receive Holiday Pay for hours worked on the holiday.
Holiday Pay is calculated as an additional one-half time (50%) of the employee's base rate. Again, Holiday Pay is only paid for hours worked on the actual holiday. [Note: Exempt employees regularly scheduled to work on the Holiday will be eligible for Holiday Pay. Managers and Directors are not eligible for Holiday pay.]
