Becky Price, a nurse who had a profound impact on patient care and quality incomes for the past 16 years, is retiring from Nursing Supervision. Her last day will be August 21.
Becky moved to Wilmington in 2004, bringing four decades of nursing experience to the NHRMC organization. Her professional and compassionate influence has touched many people across the organization.
When asked what she is going to miss the most about NHRMC, she said, “My favorite part of NHRMC is the staff and physicians. It’s what defines us.”
Becky has the gift to navigate a hectic situation with poise and a calming influence. If you listen to one of the bed huddles she conducts every day, you will understand. No matter the number of capacity challenges, placement issues, or any other complicated situation that would present itself, Becky’s determination and calm demeanor set everyone at ease.
Becky is a tremendous resource of knowledge. She trained many of the new staff in Nursing Supervision. There were times when she stepped in to provide direct instruction, give advice on handling a situation, then balance that with empowering that team member to inject their own leadership style. Many people in the organization can say they learned so much from Becky.
Please join us in wishing Becky success in her new adventure and that retirement brings her all the joy she deserves.
