KELLY BARBARA

Barbara Kelly, RN, will retire from the NHRMC organization after 39 years on Friday, August 14.

Barbara began her nursing career with NHRMC in 1981 after graduating from nursing school at UNCW. She began as an intern, moving from department to department and then settled in Labor and Delivery where she spent 32 years providing exceptional care to many laboring women and their newborns. Barbara has experienced many changes during the evolution of the care of women in our community.

In 2008, she served as the staff representative for the ribbon cutting at the grand opening of the Betty H. Cameron Women’s and Children’s Hospital. In 2012, Barbara transferred from Labor and Delivery to the Outpatient Clinics, where she assumed the role of staff nurse in the Ob/GYN Clinic.

Barbara has enjoyed a long career making a difference in the lives of thousands of patients and their children.  The staff and providers in the OB/GYN Clinic are grateful for Barbara’s years of dedication and service and send her off into her new adventures with hearty thanks for a career well done.
