South East Area Health Education Center (SEAHEC) used grant funding to purchase personal protective equipment and distributed over 10,000 items to 75 physician practices across the region.
The N.C. State Employees’ Credit Union generously provided funding to help support NC AHEC, or Area Health Education Center, to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic statewide. NC AHEC shared the funds with all nine AHEC centers in the state including SEAHEC, which serves Southeastern North Carolina.
The SEAHEC Practice Support team decided to use the funding to purchase PPE to help ensure area providers and staff are staying safe and able to run their practices effectively, especially as in-person visits increase.
“The team is thankful for the dedication of providers in this region to the population they serve,” said Jessica Williams, Director of Practice Support Services, “We hope this gift can help them continue offering high-quality patient care.”
