NHRMC Physician Group primary care practices have been nationally recognized for providing coordinated care while maintaining positive relationships between patients and providers. Seven practices have been named Patient-Centered Medical Homes by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
“This recognition demonstrates our focus on access, continuity of care, collaboration among healthcare stakeholders, care coordination and outcomes-based medicine. It is a real commitment to putting patients’ needs first and is a major achievement for any primary care practice,” said Terry McDowell, Administrator, NHRMC Physician Group Primary Care.
Among the practices receiving this designation are New Hanover Medical Group's 16th Street, Ogden, Myrtle Grove, Brunswick Fores and Autumn Hall offices, Wrightsville Beach Family Medicine and Pender Primary Care.
NHRMC Physician Group uses the NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home as its model of primary care. This model merges the teamwork and technology needed to ensure lasting relationships between patients and their healthcare providers.
