After 43 years in healthcare, Kathy McKay, Business Applications Analyst, will retire on December 31. Kathy started her NHRMC journey in the Emergency Department as a registration clerk, working full time while also attending UNCW full time. After graduating, Kathy became the lead clerk in the Emergency Department. Then she moved to the Data Processing Department, which is now Information Services. Kathy worked in Systems Support, where she taught others to use our many hospital systems. Now, as a Business Applications Analyst, she can speak first hand of the technology changes for NHRMC through her many years of experience.
A celebration in Kathy’s honor will be held on Friday, December 20, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the NHRMC Auditorium on the main campus. Please stop by to wish Kathy well.
After retiring, Kathy will join her husband, Ray, in operating and growing an old country store in Ivanhoe, NC. She says it is fun, not work.
