Alert button

On Thursday, January 16, 2020, NHRMC will begin the transition for emergency alerts to Everbridge. This go-live date marks almost two years of research, development and training by the NHRMC Emergency Management Department.

Medical, Facility and Security Alerts will still be delivered to your cell phone, pager, Voalte, desk phone, email as well as overhead announcements, with the same wording that has been used since Plain Language Alerting was adopted in January 2016.

If you receive alerts on a cell phone, Voalte or email, the primary difference is the number or address sending the message.

  • For texts, the alerts will come from 893-61 or 878-44. When you receive your first alert, please save this number in your phone as “Everbridge”
  • For emails, the alerts will come from “NHRMC Alerts”
  • For Voalte, the alerts will come from “Mass Notification Message”
  • For desktop phones, the caller ID will show “New Hanover Reg 667-4616”

When Everbridge goes live on January 16, it will be a phased roll-out of the system. The timeline will be as follows:

  • January 16, 2020 – Hospital Operators
  • January 23, 2020 – Regional Transfer Center
  • January 30, 2020 – Emergency Department Radio Room & Company Police

If you are having trouble receiving Everbridge alerts, please email [email protected] anytime or call 667-4860 on 1/16 between 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
