During this holiday season, there are many volunteer and donation opportunities that impact your community. Here are many of the opportunities that your NHRMC co-workers are supporting:
Donations Needed - Men's Scrubs Especially (small and medium)! Pender High School Health Occupations class is looking for gently used scrubs for their students to wear! They are looking for both male and female scrubs in all sizes! Let us know if you have some to donate, and we'll arrange to pick up! They look so professional and are so proud of their uniforms!
For more information, contact Ruth Glaser.
Holiday ART SHOW @ Hope Recuperative Care! All proceeds go directly to artists experiencing homelessness. Come "shop" our "gallery" on December 8 (12 noon to 3 p.m.) for unique gifts! 4806 Wrightsville Ave, Wilmington.
Tis the Season! Looking for a cool opportunity to give back this Holiday Season? Join us for Christmas For Creekwood! We could use a helping hand from a lot of magic Elves to help bring some joy to local kids! See the Flyer for details. Collections needed by December 11!
Point-In-Time is a federally mandated event that counts the homeless population, both sheltered and unsheltered in our region. These numbers are reported to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (UHD) who use this data to support community grants. Volunteers and community partners will volunteer to survey these individuals on January 29. A 90-minute training session is required in advance.
