The 3rd Annual NHRMC Summer Food Drive concluded on Friday, June 7 with record-breaking totals. The nutritious foods, combined with online donations, equaled a donation of $20,684. The food will support more than 1,000 children served by NourishNC, Pender Christian Services and Share the Table.
“With over 10,000 pounds of food and $5,000 of online donations, we almost doubled our efforts from last year’s food drive,” said Corey Yingling, food drive leader. “The excitement and willingness of our staff with projects such of these is infectious. It makes you proud to work for such a great organization that truly cares about the health and well-being of our community.”
Nourish NC has expressed that NHRMC’s food drive donations will fund a significant portion of their second food box distribution this summer.
