NHRMC's Health Equity Department has been working to ensure inclusiveness across the NHRMC system.
That message has been shared through the Health Equity Advisory Team, Employee Resource Groups, thought-provoking Yammer posts, huddle presentations, community outreach and continuing education classes.
A good example of employee involvement is on display on the 6th floor, where employees put up a bulletin board highlighting Black History Month. Manager Lakisha Fullwood was excited to see her staff take the initiative to recognize Black History Month.
"It is absolutely amazing when employees take the initiative without any prompting from their leader," said Joe Conway, Director of Health Equity. "This is amazing, thoughtful, considerate, and inclusive behavior from the 6th Floor staff!"
