Furniture for Florence Recovery: How You Can Donate, Volunteer

October 11, 2018

Many of you have asked how you can help our employees and members of our community get needed furniture items to help in the recovery from Hurricane Florence.

A new opportunity to centralize help with furnishings has emerged: the non-profit Furniture Finders has partnered with House of Provision to provide a central location where gently used furniture and décor (lamps, rugs, art, mirrors, etc.) can be donated.  Once they collect enough items, they plan to issue an application process to help impacted people “shop” for a few key free items that will help them get back on their feet.

To Donate :

  • Dates: This Saturday and Sunday (10/13 and 10/14)
  • Times: 1-4 p.m. both days
  • Location: 6832-4 Market Street [Former Roses Department Store in Ogden]
  • Items Collecting: Furniture, lamps, accessories, sheets (bundled and labeled)

No appliances or clothes accepted.

Volunteers Needed:

Folks to unload furniture, people to arrange furniture in warehouse, help keep database, etc.  In the long run, they will also need people with trucks to pick up items that folks cannot get to the warehouse on their own. If you can help, please email: [email protected].
