NHRMC was proud to be the presenting sponsor of the WB Marathon this past weekend, which had thousands of runners participating in races of multiple distances, including one mile, 5k, half-marathon and marathon. Dozens of NHRMC employees and physicians took part in the race and more were on hand to offer medical support to those who needed it. Special thanks to the employees who volunteered their time to take care of runners along the course and at the finish.
The volunteers provided medical coverage at the medical aid stations along the course and at the finish line.
The State Medical Assistance Team provided the major medical coverage for the finish line, seeing the higher acuity patients. More than 70 race participants were seen at aid stations.
NHRMC EMS had bike teams, golf carts, quick response vehicles and an ambulance on site.
Congratulations to the all runners, including President and CEO John Gizdic, whose marathon relay team claimed victory.
