A nurse and CNA from the women's unit were recognized for their efforts in saving a stroke victim.

Kim Stevenson (second from right), CNA, was discharging a patient from the women's unit when she noticed a change and weakness in the patient as she was getting her into her car to go home. Stevenson and Sandy Tuney (third from right), RN, called a rapid which then led to an in-house Code Stroke.

The fact that these health care professionals acted FAST and addressed a change immediately resulted in rapid treatment and a better outcome for their patient.

Stevenson and Tuney were honored for their Good Catch by department leaders.
