WILMINGTON, NC – New Hanover Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that James P. Loehr, MD
, has joined the medical staff at the NHRMC Nunnelee Pediatric Specialty Clinics
Dr. Loehr will see patients on a referral basis at the Nunnelee Pediatric Specialty Clinics at Autumn Hall where pediatric services are provided by the medical teams of the NHRMC Physician Group and Coastal Children’s Services. His services include a broad range of cardiac care including echocardiography for prenatal patients to young adults.
“With the addition of Dr. Loehr, we are offering an unparalleled level of specialty care for children in southeastern North Carolina,” said NHRMC Administrator of Women’s and Children’s Services Barbara Buechler. “Dr. Loehr’s expertise gives families vital access to highly-specialized cardiac care for their children.”
Dr. Loehr joins the NHRMC community from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was an associate professor in the pediatric department’s division of cardiology. Dr. Loehr was previously the medical director of the UNC Carolina Children’s Cardiology office in Wilmington.
Dr. Loehr is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and completed his residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric cardiology from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Stanford, CA.
