WILMINGTON, NC – New Hanover Medical Group – NHRMC Physician Group is pleased to announce that Andrew M. Kellermann, DO, has joined the practice at its Leland location.
Dr. Kellermann has a range of experience in internal medicine and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, most recently serving as a physician at the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville.
“The addition of Dr. Kellermann’s expertise continues our mission to provide a high standard of comprehensive and coordinated care to patients,” said Jeffrey Warhaftig, MD, president of New Hanover Medical Group. “We are proud to bring a veteran on board and his experience and dedication to patient care will serve the growing Brunswick County area well.”
Prior to his service at Camp Lejeune, Dr. Kellermann was on staff at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, VA, where he also completed his residency and internship in internal medicine. In the Navy, he served as the battalion surgeon for 1st Battalion, 6th Marines during a 2009 Afghanistan deployment.
Dr. Kellermann received a doctoral degree in osteopathic medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and a bachelor’s degree in science from Samford University in Birmingham, AL. He is board certified in internal medicine.
