Katie Lomax, FNP-C, Joins NHRMC Physician Group

WILMINGTON, NC – Wrightsville Beach Family Medicine - NHRMC Physician Group is pleased to announce Katie Lomax, RN, BSN, MSN, FNP-C, has joined the practice. Lomax has a range of experience in a number of clinical fields, including family medicine; care for infants through geriatrics; chronic disease management; hospice and palliative care, and surgical/trauma intensive care.

Lomax graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, after which she worked for New Hanover Regional Medical Center on the medical floor and in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit. She returned to school to earn her master's in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification and has been providing care in Wilmington and Whiteville.

The practice offers routine care of infants and children – including pediatric vaccinations – as well as management of adult diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and arthritis. Lomax joins Peter G. Kramer, DO, an osteopathic physician who focuses on preventative medicine while combining medical technology with a holistic approach to health care. By focusing on the whole body, Dr. Kramer and his staff are trained to see how common ailments may affect other parts of the body in order to see the bigger picture in your treatment plan.
