WILMINGTON, NC – NHRMC Physician Group is pleased to welcome Joshua A. Spencer, MD, to the Cape Fear Heart Associates team.
Dr. Spencer is a general cardiologist concentrating in coronary artery disease management, preventive cardiology, congestive heart failure, nuclear imaging, echocardiography, and transesophageal echocardiography in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr. Spencer earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN, and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis where he graduated magna cum laude. After a residency in internal medicine at University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC, he completed fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Spencer is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine.
