Free Mammogram Program
Pink Ribbon Project
Pink Ribbon Project events through the NHRMC Foundation help make free mammograms possible for those in need. Consider supporting this life-saving effort.
We want you to have regular mammograms to protect your health. Mammograms are an important part of breast health and help to detect breast cancer early – when it is most treatable.
If you cannot afford a mammogram, the Pink Ribbon Project of the New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) Foundation may be able to help.
Patients who meet financial criteria may be eligible to receive free screening and diagnostic breast procedures, including 3D mammograms.
Find Out How to Qualify for a Free Mammogram
If you meet certain financial criteria, you may be eligible to receive a free mammogram. Patients must see a doctor for a clinical breast exam, and get an order for a mammogram.
If a mammogram detects an abnormality and you need other tests to find out if you need treatment, the NHRMC Foundation Pink Ribbon Project may also cover those tests.
If you have any questions, or would like to find out if you qualify you can call (910) 667-8297.
Where to Have the Mammogram
Once your provider faxes in your order, we will call you to schedule your appointment. Appointments are needed for all mammograms, and your procedure will be scheduled at one of these locations:
