Bystander CPR saves lives. Learn how you can perform Hands-Only CPR when someone needs help. NHRMC Emergency Medical Services offers training sessions around the community.
Having unnecessary or expired medications in your home can be dangerous. To help keep our community safe from hazards associated with improper use and disposal of medications, New Hanover Regional Medical Center holds medication disposal events twice a year to allow convenient collection and disposal of unwanted medications. NHRMC is also one of New Hanover County's locations with permanent drop boxes for residents to safely dispose of unwanted medications.
Free smoking cessation classes are offered quarterly. One-hour classes are taught by a respiratory therapist and pharmacist. Participants should register for class by calling (910)264-9200.
