DNV Hospital Accreditation
New Hanover Regional Medical Center is nationally accredited by DNV GL Healthcare. DNV accreditation recognizes NHRMC's continuous commitment and dedication to providing excellent patient care.
New Hanover Regional Medical Center AirLink/VitaLink has received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) for its compliance with national standards of excellence.
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
The American College of Cardiology has recognized New Hanover Regional Medical Center for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients who come to a cardiac catheterization lab for care. NHRMC was awarded Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation based on rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who come to the cardiac cath lab.
Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The AACVPR certification recognizes programs that meet the organization's rigorous review process and standards for care.
Clinical Pastoral Education
New Hanover Regional Medical Center's Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program is one of 250 Association for Clinical Pastoral Education accredited Clinical Pastoral Education Centers in the nation. NHRMC's CPE Program has been accredited by the ACPE, Inc., since 1991.
Accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories. The New Hanover Regional Medical Center Echo Lab is accredited for adult transthoracic, adult stress, and adult transesophageal tests. The NHRMC Orthopedic Hospital Echo Lab is accredited for adult transthoracic, and adult stress tests.
Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) at NHRMC Betty H. Cameron Women's & Children's Hospital
New Hanover Regional Medical Center is accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) as a level 3 epilepsy center. Level 3 epilepsy centers have the professional expertise and facilities to provide the highest level medical evaluation and treatment for patients with complex epilepsy. Graduate Medical Education
Graduate Medical Education Programs in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology and Family Medicine at NHRMC are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
NHRMC Rehabilitation Hospital
Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, which requires certified organizations to meet consumer-focused, national standards of performance.
The Nuclear Medicine departments at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and the Medical Mall are accredited by the American College of Radiology. The network has two of only seven ACR accredited nuclear medicine facilities in North Carolina.
New Hanover Regional Medical Center Radiation Oncology has successfully met the standards of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Accreditation Program for Excellence (APEx) for a four-year accreditation.
