NHRMC's main campus offers many opportunities for volunteers' diverse talents and skills. This campus includes the main inpatient hospital, Betty H. Cameron Women's & Children's Hospital, and the NHRMC Rehabilitation Hospital. Below is a partial list of placement areas on this campus:

» Emergency Room » Gift Shops
» Information Desks » Patient Discharge/Errands
» Guest Ambassador » Outpatient Services Unit
» Pet Therapy

» Zimmer Cancer Center

» Shuttle Cart Drivers » Surgical Pavilion
» Nursing Units/Patient Visitation » NHRMC Rehabilitation Hospital

NHRMC also has a Volunteer Nurse program. If you are a Registered Nurse with an active NC license, please inquire about this program. Volunteer nurses work one-on-one with patients and provide compassionate care without the hustle and bustle of floor nursing. BLS is provided, as well as required continuing education. Volunteer RNs work in the area of your interest. No medication administration, IV therapy or invasive procedures are required by the Volunteer Nurse. Nursing license renewals and the cost of continuing education are paid by the auxiliary as a benefit for volunteering. If you miss working with patients and would like to volunteer 4 hours a week, please indicate Nursing as a skill on your application.
