Diabetes Health Plan (DHP)
The Diabetes Health Plan (DHP) is a program dedicated to assisting employees and dependents enrolled in one of NHRMC's medical plans who are diagnosed as diabetic or prediabetic. HRAs at Employee Health & Clinic
NHRMC's Employee Health & Clinic offers free Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) to all employees annually. The HRA requires fasting bloodwork and gives results for your height, weight, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and HbA1c levels. Your personal results are accessed through MyChart, and with this information, employees can log into BlueCross BlueShield's website and enroll in programs tailored to meet specific wellness goals. These programs include, but are not limited to, achieving optimal weight, smoking cessation, improving nutrition, and reducing stress. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The Employee Assistance Program, often referred to as the EAP, is one of the health benefits available to employees and their families to manage their mental and emotional well-being and attain a healthy work-life balance. Through the program, our provider LifeServices offers confidential, personal counseling and other consultation services, in addition to monthly webinars on work-life topics. Weight Watchers at Work
Weight Watchers at Work is a unique program that provides NHRMC employees with a conveinient way to track and reach personal weight loss goals with the help of a supportive team. Depending on member interest at the initial sign-up time, the program will either be a 12-week or 17-week series; the 12-week series includes 14 weeks of e-tools for $156 ($13 per week), or the 17-week series includes 19 weeks of e-tools for $186 ($11 per week). Once a series ends, the process will begin again and the subsequent series length will be decided at this time.
During the first two weeks of the series, members can enroll using payroll deduction. Although anyone can join the series at any time, those who enroll after the first two weeks will need to pay a pro-rated price for the remainder of the series on the day they join, using cash, check, or credit card.
Currently, the group meets every Wednesday 11:45-12:15 in the Captial Hill Conference Room on the third floor of NHRMC's Business Center (3151 S.17th Street).
