Good For You
As employees of New Hanover Regional Medical Center, we are committed to our patients' health and wellness. That commitment can only be fulfilled, however, if we as employees ensure our own health and wellness. For that reason, we announce the launch of NHRMC's Employee Wellness Web page - bringing you a centralized spot to learn about a few healthy living programs NHRMC employees can use to help them on the path to health and wellness.
So, partner with NHRMC now, and together let us achieve a lifetime of wellness.
Employee Fitness Center
The Employee Fitness Center, conveniently located on the corner of Independence and Shipyard Blvd, is a great benefit for employees and their dependents. This benefit is a low-cost option for employees wanting to stay fit and feel great. Read more about the NHRMC Fitness Center and get answers to some Frequently Asked Questions. Changes have been made to allow dependents ages 13 and 14 to participate at the EFC, read more on the Eligibility page.
Employee Health and Clinic
NHRMC’s Employee Health and Clinic gives employees a convenient and affordable way to get medical care for routine illnesses and injuries. The clinic also provides ongoing support and counseling to help prevent and manage chronic conditions and free health assessments for all employees.
Custom Fit Meals at the Employee Fitness Center
A nutritious meal is the foundation for all the work you put into creating a healthy lifestyle. To help our employees maintain a healthy eating plan while juggling the demands of a busy schedule, NHRMC now makes pick-up of Custom Fit Meals™ available at the Employee Fitness Center.
NHRMC's cafeterias now offer several healthy options for meals, identified with the New Hanover red apple logo, so you can meet your nutritional health goals. Each healthy choice is clearly marked, and nutritional information is provided. Click on the Cafeteria Menus button on Capsuleslive for more information on the Healthy Zone program.
EAP Monthly Webinars
Monthly webinars dealing with a variety of work-life issues are available through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
2011 Good for You Photo Essay Contest
At NHRMC, we want to find fun ways to help spread the word about our wellness initiative and encourage healthy lifestyles in others. This summer, we will once again have a photo essay contest so employees can share their photos and comments about what wellness means to them.
