Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory opened its doors at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in 1987 and now performs more than 7,000 procedures each year. Cardiologists use the specially designed labs to diagnose and treat heart problems using leading-edge techniques that reduce complictions and recover time.

Treatment Team

The Catheterization staff includes registered nurses, registered cardiovascular technologists and registered radiologic technologists who assist the many board certified cardiologists who use the laboratory.
