Presentations / Speakers

Staff members of New Hanover Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Services are available to speak to local organizations and employers about various topics.  A partial list of topics is below, but others can be arranged by calling New Hanover Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Services at 910.343.7835.

Back Safety/Body Mechanics/Ergonomics: Physical or Occupational Therapists are available to present information at work sites, for inservices, or community presentations on general management of posture and spine health.

End of Life Issues: Speakers can talk to persons with disabilities and their families about preparations for end of life planning and emotional support. Contact Sharon Roberts at 452-8543.

Guest Lectures: Local physicians and/or rehabilitation staff offer educational presentations that address various common orthopedic or therapy-related conditions. The lectures are open to the general public.

Osteoporosis Prevention and Management: Physical or Occupational Therapists are available to present information on osteoporosis at local community, civic, and church groups.
