Health & Diagnostics - Cape Fear Hospital

The Health & Diagnostic services at Cape Fear Hospital provide inpatient and outpatient imaging services on the Cape Fear Hospital campus and supports the orthopaedic caseload for New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Experienced staff  provide routine screenings as well as site-specific diagnostic procedures.  Tests performed at Cape Fear Imaging include:

Hours of Operation

Imaging services are provided 24 hours a day for in-patients and by appointment for out-patients.

Getting Results

Written results are forwarded to the physician who ordered the exam, often within 24 hours.  We will be glad to provide copies of results to other physicians as well, with permission of the patient.  Patients who want doctors other than the ordering physician to receive results should contact Medical Records at 910-343-7089.

Requests for Film Files

Physicians and patients can request copies of images on CD by calling the radiology file room at 910-343-7070.  Requests for reports must be directed to Medical Records at 910-343-7089.  Due to HIPAA regulations, records will be released only to the patient and ordering physician.  If the patient would like another physician or person to have access to the files, the patient must fill out a release authorization form, which can be obtained from Medical Records or by clicking here.
