Neuroscience
The inpatient acute care Neuroscience Unit of New Hanover Regional Medical Center cares for patients who are being treated with surgery or medicine for brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, trauma, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Alzheimer's disease, and seizures related to neurological disorders.
Room Accommodations
The unit has 21 patient beds in a combination of private and semi-private rooms. Each room is equipped with cable television and each bed has a telephone with long distance service.

Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists, Nutritionists, and Rehabilitation Therapists are available to help with treatment and consultations.
