New Hanover Regional Medical Center's hospitals and services have long-standing roots in Southeastern North Carolina, offering quality care close to home for generations of families through all stages of life.

In addition to its main campus, New Hanover Regional Medical Center  offers general hospital services at NHRMC Orthopedic Hospital in Wilmington and Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw.

Charitable Mission

As a public, not-for-profit healthcare system, New Hanover Regional Medical Center offers care to everyone who needs it, regardless of his or her ability to pay.  New Hanover Regional Medical Center provides more than $83 million a year in uncompensated care, often to those who would not otherwise have access to health care.

Teaching Mission

New Hanover Regional Medical Center's volunteer Board of Trustees is appointed by the New Hanover County Commissioners, with representation from Pender County.  The medical center receives no local tax support.
