Dr. McCarthy's clinical interests include laparoscopic and robotic surgery, oncology, incontinence, kidney stones, enlarged prostate (BPH), and vasectomies. Dr. McCarthy is currently the only surgeon performing robotic urology surgery at NHRMC.

Dr. McCarthy is married and has two daughters. He is an avid outdoorsman and regularly participates in charity road races to support a variety of health causes.
