Skilled Nursing Services

Pender Memorial Hospital offers a Skilled Nursing Unit for patients who need help with activities of daily living due to physical impairment or illness.  The Skilled Nursing Facility, located on the second floor of Pender Memorial Hospital, offers access to hospital services including pharmacy, respiratory therapy and physicial, occupational and speech therapies.

The Pender Skilled Nursing Faciilty provides a family-oriented atmosphere dedicated to meeting the physical, social, and emotional needs of the patient.  The staff possess both the professional skills and the caring attitude to create an environment that is pleasant, comforting and safe.  Skilled Nursing Placement is available for those who need short-term rehabilitation after being hospitalized and for extended placement.  These patients and their families are encouraged to participate in the planning and implementation of their care.
