Saebo
The Saebo® treatment program was designed to assist patients who have had a stroke regain arm movement. The occupational therapist fits the patient with a custom dynamic hand and wrist splint and works with the patient on learning to use the device to improve hand and arm function.
The Saebo® program at Oleander Rehabilitation offers additional treatment options for patients that have minimal arm movement but not much function, even several years after the stroke occurred. The device is available with a doctor's order for evaluation. A Saebo® trained occupational therapist must screen the patient to determine if a patient is a candidate for the device. The therapist will determine if the patient has the minimal amount of movement required at the shoulder, elbow and wrist.
