From Our Patients

Quality care means more than the outcome of a medical procedure or treatment.  At New Hanover Regional Medical Center we never lose sight of the patient and their families.  We work hard to ensure every person who comes through our doors is treated with respect and compassion.  We want you to be comfortable and confident in the care you are receiving so we take time to explain what is happening and what you can expect.  We welcome family members to be a part of the healing process.  Nurses and managers are never far away and will check in with a patient throughout their stay to answer questions and provide additional help when needed.

Core Measures

Core Measures track a variety of evidence-based, scientifically-researched standards of care which have been shown to result in improved clinical outcomes for patients. CMS (the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services) established the Core Measures in 2000 and began publicly reporting data relating to the Core Measures in 2003.  Click here for more on NHRMC core measures.
