Do you have your mammograms regularly?
If you don't because you don't have insurance and can't afford it,
New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation's Pink Ribbon Project
may be able to help.
The mammography program of the Pink Ribbon Project provides mammograms and diagnostic breast procedures free to women who are uninsured and meet certain financial criteria. Women who qualify for the program are given vouchers which must be turned in to the registrar at the time they come for their mammogram appointment.
To get a voucher:
Before a woman can get a mammogram, she must first see a doctor and have a clinical breast exam and get an order for a mammogram. Some medical offices in the area have vouchers to give their qualifying patients. Or, individuals can call 667-8297 to determine if they qualify for the program and get a voucher.
Vouchers may be redeemed only at the six locations listed below.
