Lee Silverman Voice Treatment

Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT®) is used by specially trained speech therapists to assist patients with Parkinson's disease. The goal is to improve communication skills so that the patient can better communicate with family, friends and physicians. Patients with Parkinson's disease often have soft voices, imprecise articulation, and a monotone or hoarse vocal quality.

Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT®) uses specific exercises to improve speech quality. The patient gains improved respiratory support, improved articulation, improved speech volume and improved posture.

LSVT empowers individuals by enabling them to maintain or regain function in their home and workplace, which enhances self confidence and quality of life.
