Internal Medicine

Internal medicine deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases and conditions. Doctors of internal medicine are specially trained to handle all types of conditions related to the adult patient - from the simple to the complex. These physicians care for their patients across many areas and in many settings - from the office to the hospital - and are often called upon by other doctors to aid in the treatment of patients.
