Wrightsville Beach Family Medicine looks forward to serving the needs of you and your family. Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:30-5:00 p.m. To help answer some questions and make your experience with us the very best, we have provided information on policies below for your reference.

If you are a Medicare Patient, please print and fill out our Medicare Physical Forms and bring them to your Medicare Annual Wellness Visit or your Welcome to Medicare Physical.
To better serve you, we ask that you schedule appointments and that you provide information on all reasons for your visit, so that we may schedule the appropriate amount of time with your provider. Of course, for acute or urgent concerns, same-day appointments are also available.
Because we do our best to adhere to our scheduled appointment times, we ask that you please advise us if you are running late for your appointment.
Missed or Late Cancellation of Appointments
We understand the demands on your time, so we strive to accommodate your busy schedule. For this reason, we ask for at least 24 hours advance notice if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment. This will allow us to offer your time to another patient.
We are happy to schedule an appointment for your referral to another physician. If the scheduled time for a referral appointment does not meet your schedule, please call to reschedule your appointment time.
Insurance and Billing
Please have your insurance cards available at every visit. We will review your card(s) at each visit. If your health insurance plan determines a service that is “not covered,” you will be responsible for the charges.
All insurance claims and billing statements are generated by Carolinas Healthcare in Charlotte. Because we no longer do the billing and insurance in our office, it is important that you inform us of any changes to your health insurance coverage, phone number or mailing address.
Co-payments are due upon arrival for your appointment and will be taken at the check-in window. Any unpaid balances will be billed to you by Carolinas Healthcare on behalf of our office.
We are happy to call in refill requests for our patients. You can pick up a printed prescription at the office during normal business hours.
You can also have your pharmacy send us a refill request. Because it generally takes some time to fill these requests, we ask that you please not wait until you are out of medication to request a refill. In order to refill a prescription, please have your pharmacy fax a refill request to 910.344.8902. Refill requests received before 2:00 p.m. are processed by 6:00 p.m. each day. We ask that you allow 48 hours notice to process requests for controlled substances.
If you become ill after office hours, on the weekend or a holiday, and are experiencing a true medical emergency please call 911. For all non-urgent illnesses and injuries, please call our office at 910.344.8900. This call will be automatically forwarded to our triage answering service that will connect you to a nurse. If necessary, the nurse will be able to contact the provider on call.
Medical Records/Transfer of Care
Patients who are moving or plan to switch providers may need to request their medical records. You will need to fill out and sign a Medical Record Release which we will keep on file. Our office charges a $15 flat rate fee to process, copy and send your medical records to another healthcare provider. Requests are processed in the order they are received.
