| Thank you for your interest in our Graduate Medical Residency Program. To assist you in your application to our Program, please make note of the following information.
To be eligible for employment with New Hanover Regional Medical Center, all Graduate Medical Resident Applicants must complete and submit the information requested below. This information will be discussed with you during the interview process, and after your acknowledgement, filed in your personnel record. All information effecting licensure will be shared with the North Carolina Medical Board. Complete application to include:
- Universal Residency Application Form or ERAS
- Three (3) letters of recommendation
- Dean's letter
- Recent transcript of medical college record
- Permanent resident or citizen verification* (No Visas will be accepted or sponsored by NHRMC)
- ECFMG number*
Successful candidates will be required to provide or complete:
- North Carolina Training License (obtained through AHEC Administration)
- Verification of credentials (completed by Program Director)
- Background checks (obtained by both NHRMC and the North Carolina Board of Medicine)
- Physical examination including toxicology screen, breath analysis, and immunization updates as required (completed by NHRMC Employee Health Service)
