Research at the leading edge of the science of cancer treatment
 Clinical trials are the means by which we expand the boundaries of our knowledge about cancer treatment and prevention. Every chemotherapy treatment regimen in use today was studied and proven effective through exhaustive research. The same is true for every other form of treatment.
We also know that other answers lie just over the horizon, more hope and more promise in cancer treatment. Finding that next set of answers, proving their worth, takes place in clinical trials. For cancer patients in the present day, participating in clinical trials means access to the newest and most promising forms of treatment.
Through our affiliation with the Zimmer Cancer Center at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, patients enrolling in clinical trials will benefit from ongoing programs at NHRMC, which are in turn linked to efforts at universities and research facilities across the country.
