Case Conferences
Cancer care at the Zimmer Cancer Center is multidisciplinary, meaning that physicians from the different oncology specialties collaborate in shaping treatment plans for each individual patient. The primary forum for this collaboration is the case conference - a weekly meeting where all the cancer specialists gather to review the specifics of an individual patient's case.

The specialists-including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, and pulmonologists-review diagnostic images, pathology reports, medical history and other relevant data. They share observations from the perspective of each specialty as they design a treatment plan.
The collaboration also ensures continuity and familiarity as a patient progresses through stages of treatment with different specialists.
