Pay Your Bill

New Hanover Regional Medical Center is responsible for submitting bills to your insurance company and will do everything possible to expedite your claim. However, your policy is a contract between you and your insurance company and you have the final responsibility for payment of your hospital bill. You are encouraged to contact your insurance company to ensure they have the necessary information forms to process your claim for payment.

Your bill reflects all of the services you receive during your stay.  If you have certain tests or treatments in the hospital, you may receive bills from physicians you did not see in person. These bills are for professional services rendered by these doctors in diagnosing and interpreting test results while you were a patient. Pathologists, radiologists, cardiologists, anesthesiologists and other specialists perform these services and are required to submit separate bills. If you have any questions about these bills, please call the number printed on the statement you receive.

Pay Your Bill Online

For your convenience NHRMC offers an easy online payment system to make a payment on your outstanding balance.  This system can only be used if there is an outstanding patient balance on your account, meaning insurance has already paid and the patient is responsible for the remaining balance.  Accounts which are current will not show up on the system.  To access your account you will need to provide the patient's last name, last four digits of the patient's social security number, the patient's date of birth, and the patient's zip code (as it appears on the bill).  If you are missing any of this information or have trouble then please call Patient Financial Services:  (877) 228-8135 ext. 7050.   Click here proceed to the online bill pay system.
