Annual Giving

Annual Gifts provide ongoing financial vital philanthropic support for the many services, programs, equipment and education at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. These gifts ensure that the Foundation's mission - to be able to provide philanthropic support to NHRMC continues and has the resources to provide excellent patient care to all of the residents of Southeastern North Carolina.

Annual gifts may be unrestricted as to its use to support programs and areas of the Medical Center where the need is greatest; or, restricted in its use for specific equipment, programs, services or areas of the hospital that are meaningful to our donors; such as, Zimmer Cancer Center, nursing education or the Robotics Program.

Tribute Gifts 

Tribute Gifts are a wonderful way to celebrate loved ones, special occasions, or recognize the caregivers who made a difference in your life.  A tribute gift is a unique way to support the needs of the medical center while acknowledging those close to your hearts and the men and women that care for them allowing you a way to show how much you care in a memorable and lasting way.

• Honor Gifts are made in honor of a family member; friend or colleague and a meaningful way to acknowledge a special occasion or individual in your life. It is also a wonderful way to recognize a physician, nurse or caregiver who provided extraordinary care to you, your loved one or friend.
• Memorial Gifts are a thoughtful remembrance that celebrates the life of a family member, friend or colleague. Your gift then becomes part of a legacy to support New Hanover Regional Medical Center - helping to provide support for patient care, nursing and staff education and equipment.

A card acknowledging a tribute gift is sent to the person or family member you designate. All gifts to the NHRMC Foundation will help continue to support essential programs and services provided by the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Employee Campaign 

Employee Campaign is one of the most important annual fundraisers for NHRMC. Funds raised from this campaign help to purchase the very best training, technologies and treatments for staff and employees to continue to deliver the best of care to the local community.

Participation is the most important element of this fundraiser.  Every employee who participates can designate their gift to go to a particular area of the hospital or to wherever the gift is most needed.  Employee and staff participation shows the community our level of involvement, commitment and belief in NHRMC.  This is easily done through our online donation system as well as the opportunity to have your gift payroll deducted.

Matching Gifts 

Matching Gifts is one of the smartest ways to increase your support. Many companies offer to match donations made by their employees to qualified charitable organizations, like the NHRMC Foundation. These matches are often dollar for dollar, which doubles your charitable-donation power.  If your company participates in a matching gift program, you may participate by simply requesting a matching gift form from your employer and send to us completed and signed with your gift.  We will do the rest. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Donor Recognition  

Donor Recognition allows us to publicly recognize our supporters. We are so proud and honored to be able to do this through our donor recognition wall - located on the Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's hospital concourse.  Contact us for further details on giving levels for this recognition. Along with the donor wall, the NHRMC Foundation offers many naming areas throughout the hospital, like patient rooms, waiting areas and lobbies, in recognition for gifts and pledges.
