Admission Procedures

Expectant Mothers

Expectant mothers arriving at the Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital should take the ground floor elevator and proceed directly to the first floor prenatal evaluation center. Women evaluated and found to be in active labor may be transferred to the Labor and Delivery Unit, also on the first floor. 

Pediatric Care

Critically ill or injured infants and children not arriving by medical transport are generally admitted through NHRMC's Emergency Department. Infants and children arriving by medical transport may be admitted directly to the Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital.

Children and their families with scheduled appointments at the Nunnelee Pediatric Clinic should proceed to the clinic's front desk located on the ground floor.

Women's Services

Women scheduled for surgery for various gynecologic conditions should report directly to NHRMC's Surgical Pavilion located behind the hospital. Following surgery, most women are transferred to the second floor Women's Unit in the Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital.
