Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital
The Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital at NHRMC is a new facility designed with the latest research and unique needs of women and children in mind. The 149-bed hospital features all-private rooms and specially designated units for gynecological conditions, high-risk pregnancy, labor and delivery, mother/baby care, neonatal care, pediatric inpatient, pediatric intensive care and pediatric specialty services.
Cancer Services
Care for patients with various forms of cancer is offered through clinics in the Zimmer Cancer Center and the inpatient oncology floor of NHRMC.
Diabetes Services
Inpatient Diabetes Unit cares for seriously ill patients with diabetes.
Emergency Services/Trauma Department
Includes emergency departments at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Cape Fear Hospital and Pender Memorial Hospital, as well as Trauma Services at NHRMC, New Hanover Regional EMS, Critical Care Transport, and VitaLine.
Family Medicine
NHRMC Family Medicine is a physician practice run by the Family Medicine Residency Program of SEAHEC. It cares for families from babies through seniors.
Geriatrics Unit
The inpatient acute care Geriatrics Unit of New Hanover Regional Medical Center cares for seniors with pulmonary, gastrointestinal, nutritional and general medical needs.
Healing Arts Network
A service for patients in NHRMC that helps them cope with their illness through the use of art, massage, and other therapies.
Heart Center
The Heart Center includes treatment and rehabilitation services for problems of the heart and blood vessels.
Home Health
Care for patients in the comfort and security of their own homes.
Hospice and Palliative Care
An affiliate of New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter provides professional health care and comfort to people with life-limiting illness.
Imaging Services
Diagnostic imaging services, including X-Ray, MRI, and CT scans, are offered at various locations for the patient's convenience.
Institutional Review Board
New Hanover Regional Medical Center Institutional Review Board (IRB) is devoted to subject safety as it relates to the rights and welfare of people participating in research.
Medical and Surgical Clinics
Outpatient care for patients receiving medical and/or surgical treatment for variety of conditions, including diabetes, heart, infectious disease (including HIV), gastrointestinal, and others.
Medical Unit
Nursing floor of New Hanover Regional Medical Center dedicated to the inpatient care of patients being treated with surgery or medicine for pulmonary, gastrointestinal, vascular, and general medical conditions.
Nephrology Unit
Unit caring for patients with chronic or acute kidney failure.
Neuroscience Unit
Unit of NHRMC caring for patients with problems relating to the brain and spinal cord.
New Hanover Regional EMS
Pre-hospital care provider includes paramedic ambulance service, critical care transport by ground and air, and a 24-hour nurse referral and medical advice phone service.
Orthopedics
Inpatient and outpatient surgical services for patients with problems with their muscles, joints, bones, ligaments, tendons and nerves.
Outpatient Services Unit
The Outpatient Services Unit (OPSU) takes care of patients who are having cardiac catheterizations, invasive radiologic procedures and IV therapy or blood administration.
Pulmonary Program
The Outpatient Pulmonary Program program designed to improve the quality of life for patients suffering with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, or other debilitating lung diseases.
Rehabilitation Services
Rehabilitation services ranging from recovery from traumatic injury or illness to outpatient therapy for back and neck pain
Spiritual Care
Offers patients and families spiritual support in dealing with the stress of hospitalization.
